Prenatal Care
Prenatal Care Includes...
You will have appointments once a month until 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then once a week until birth. Visits usually last for approximately an hour. They are comprised of a thorough prenatal examination, education on the stage of your pregnancy, recommendations for your diet and exercise, addressing any fears that may arise, as well as any questions you may have. I will be on-call for you 24/7 from 36 weeks gestation onward.
- Initial Visit: 1 hour
- Comprehensive health history & physical exam during first prenatal appoinment
- Ongoing prenatal education on what to expect throughout your pregnancy
- Lending Library available
- Regular prenatal visits (one hour each) which include a thorough prenatal examinations and assessment of vital signs for you and your baby
- Check-in emotionally with how your pregnancy is going and answer any questions
- Nutritional Counseling
- Listening to your baby with a doppler or fetoscope
- Assessing the position of the baby
- Hemoglobin checks at least 3 times during your pregnancy and more if needed
- Birth preparation education throughout the course of your prenatal visits, with more in depth coverage starting at 34 weeks
- Access to the "Daly Birth Reference Guide"- an extensive compilation of information to help you stay on track with your pregnancy
- Home visit at 36 weeks gestation
- Counseling services for pregnant couples when needed, or referrals, when appropriate
- Phone calls on an as-needed basis
